Resources for the future

In 1996 Chankuap was born in Ecuador's Amazon region in Macas, Morona Santiago. The enterprise comprises all producers in the area: Shuar, Achuar and settlers of the Morona Santiago and Pastaza Provinces.

Our production area spans over 80.000 hectares, mainly primary rainforest, where we grow and harvest natural produce in a sustainable manner.

Products
Spices
Turmeric, ginger, chili, annatto, basil and infusions.

Herbal teas
Infusions made from different medicinal herbs, featuring blends such as: guayusa, lemon grass, ishpink (cinnamon flower) and ginger.

Essential oils
Lemon grass, ginger, turmeric, orange, lemon, tangerine and ishpink. Essential oils are used in aromatherapy and for the creation of perfumes, deodorants, shampoos and soaps.

Dragon's blood is traditionally used for medicinal applications since it has so many healing powers.

Batava oil is extracted from the fruit of a palm tree. It has been attributed the power to prevent hair loss.
