Medicinal and aromatic plants Jambi Sacha, which means medicinal forest in Quichua, is an organization of indigenous women who sustainably harvest medicinal plants in the Andean mountain forest Nueva América, in the northern region of Ecuador. The forest is located between 1.700 and 3.300 m above sea level. The plants which the women collect have been used for hundreds of years to cure illnesses or to be ingested in the form of tea or infusions. Nueva América - Jambi Sacha has implemented good recollection practices.
